このような状況から、ムバラク大統領は、過去2年間あまり積極的に動いていなかったビンラディンの捕獲作戦を強行している模様との事。パキスタンとアフガニスタンの国境、山岳地帯は地元の部族の権力が未だに強いらしくこれらの部族長たちにムシャラフ大統領がパキスタン側から、アメリカ軍がアフガニスタン側から、軍隊を送りプレッシャーをかけているというセオリーでした。
