Olympic chiefs have promised there will be "no repeat of Wembley" as they announce their preferred bidder to ensure the 2012 Games venues are built.

Piano Man
So piano man was German....
The so-called Piano Man who triggered massive efforts to identify him after he was found wandering in Kent in April has been released from hospital.
The mystery of Piano Man is solved, proclaim the papers. But is it really? And what does the whole saga say about us?

SONY in Wales
The electronics giant Sony is to close its south Wales manufacturing plant with the loss of 650 jobs because of falling sales of traditional-style TVs.
We had Jaapnese frieds over there but I wonder how many will stay there.

Piano Man
The so-called "Piano Man" has had an upright piano installed in his room at the secure mental health unit where he is being held, his carers have said......
Doctors are considering using music and art therapy to try to communicate with the mystery man who has not yet spoken.
....
But he added that the man has yet to begin playing the instrument.
.....
Police have discounted claims he is a street musician from France.
He has drawn grand piano and given upright piano.
He has not played yet?

A theory that the so-called Piano Man could be Czech musician Tomas Strnad has been discounted - as Mr Strnad has been interviewed on Czech TV.
